What it asks: how many nights you have, who’s traveling with you, your rough budget range, whether you’d rather drive or take trains, the season you’re going, and what kind of trip you want — art and history, food and wine, coastline, or a mix.
How the matching works, honestly: each destination and neighborhood carries a small set of trade-off factors — walkability, nightlife noise, transit access, cost tier, family-friendliness, and a few others — that your answers get weighed against. A high match score means several factors lined up with what you told us, not that it’s your only good option. Italy has more than one right answer for most trips; this is a strong starting guess, not a verdict.
